1) How do I register to be a MetaExpert?

It’s easy to register. Just click this link and follow the instructions provided on the screen.

2) How do I get an interview?

First you need to click the ‘Apply’ button, complete your personal information and upload your resume as a MSWord document. Next, follow the instructions on the web page to complete your skills profile. When you have completed your skills profile, you will land on a web page where you can schedule your interview. Click on the ‘Schedule Your Interview’ button.

3) Can I work for other companies while being a MetaExperts?

Yes, that does not affect your status as MetaExpert.  All MetaExperts are independent contractors, and as such, you likely work for multiple customers over time.

4) How does your placement process work?

First you need to qualify as a MetaExpert to be in the ‘inside circle’ of experts we look to when there’s an opportunity. Once you are an official MetaExpert we can begin presenting your profile for customer projects. For more details, go to the placement page.

5) How often can I expect to be contacted with opportunities?

It’s difficult to say. It may be days or can even be months before you hear from us about a specific opportunity. There are several pieces to the puzzle including your skills, degrees and certifications, industry experience, years of experience, and the locale where you reside. Some of our MetaExperts get contacted at least monthly and others only one or two times a year. It’s really a function of what market is looking for from month to month and how it lines up with your profile.

My First Project

Yes, we always support our MetaExperts while they’re on assignment. If you need any advice, opinions, or reference materials, contact your lead transformation architect and they’ll be happy to assist you.

2) Are living expenses and travel costs reimbursable?

Yes. Contract assignments usually are set up with the living and travel expenses picked up by the customer by expensing them each week, within their guidelines.. For each project we will discuss with you the particulars prior to you accepting the assignment.  You’ll always know how this is handled before accepting a project.

3) What if I get a permanent position offer while on a project assignment?

If you decide to take a permanent position or otherwise exit the project while completing a MetaExpert assignment, we request at least 30 days notice to provide time to find a replacement and make sure there’s a good transition. The sooner you can let us know a change is coming the better – that we way can work out a win-win to transition you off the assignment with minimal disruption for the client.

4) Does MetaOps, Inc. provide recommendations or references after an assignment?

Yes. MetaOps, Inc. is always pleased to provide recommendation on your LinkedIn profile or even take a call for you when you have at least one successful project with our customers. Just send a request to your lead transformation architect through LinkedIn.

5) Do I have to accept an assignment if it's offered?

No. You are always in control of what project assignments you choose. When you meet the qualifications of a project, we’ll call you to check your availability, describe the project and let you decide if you are interested in the project.

6) If I can't or don't want to take a project assignment, will this affect future offers?

No. If you’re unable to take a project assignment it will never affect future opportunities. We understand that projects may not appeal to you for many reasons, or your current situation may not allow you to accept a certain assignment.

7) Is there any quality control provided by MetaOps, Inc.?

Yes. MetaOps, Inc. provides quality control on a weekly basis with our customer for the first 30 days of a project. At that time, we connect with the customer at an agreed upon time to gather feedback on your performance and identify any opportunities for improvement. We work with each MetaExpert to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved – we want you be successful.

8) Will I receive support from MetaOps, Inc. transformation architects while on a project assignment? ( For example if I need advice, opinions or reference material is this available?)

Yes, MetaOps always has resources available to provide guidance, advice, opinions and materials to support the MetaExpert and our customer.

When you refer us to a potential client and we acquire that customer’s business, you get a piece of the action. 4) Can I promote myself as a MetaExpert?

Yes. It’s a great way to earn additional passive or recurring revenue and expand your business. Once you are an official MetaExpert you will receive an invitation to join the MetaExperts Earn Program.

Invoicing–Expense Reimbursement–get from Manual

You can download your expense report spreadsheet from your personal profile portal once you are approved as an official MetaExpert.

2) Where can I find more information about expense reporting?

The manual and the Payment Processing document have details about expenses and how to submit expenses for speedy payment. You can access these documents in your personal profile portal once you are approved as an official MetaExpert. Remember that from engagement to engagement the clients may have specific special requirements to comply with.

3) Are all of my expenses reimbursable?*

Usually. Check the manual on page 11 for more details after you’re a certified MetaExpert. You can access the handbook from your personal profile portal.

4) Can I submit expenses without receipts or if I lost the receipts?

Usually No. It is important to include a receipt for every line item on your expense report. If you lose a receipt, check with the customer contact person before submitting the expense and get approval. Some clients have a dollar threshold that requires a receipt to be reimbursed. We will provide those details at the time of engagement.

5) Do I have to mail the original receipts?

No, unless it is required by the client, scanned receipts are acceptable.

6) Do I have a travel expense limit?

Yes. Our customers dictate the expense parameters and every assignment is different. You will be informed regarding the expense and travel parameters before accepting a project. For guidelines see page 14 in the manual. The manual is accessible from your personal profile portal.

Invoicing and Payments

1) When do I receive payment for my invoices to MetaOps, Inc.?

MetaOps, Inc. processes payments and invoices on Monday and Tuesday of each week.  All payments received by the customer by this day are paid to the MetaExperts at that time. It is important to get your invoices and expenses submitted by Monday morning each week so that the customer is invoiced timely. See the manual page 9 for more details. The handbook is accessible from your personal profile portal.

2) Do you pay electronically?

Yes, we use Bill.com service to provide ACH. You will receive an invitation to register with this service which is free to you, once you have accepted your first project. Your personal information is maintained within the Bill.com system and MetaOps, Inc. will never have access to your personal accounts.

3) What are the requirements to be set up properly for your Accounts Payables Department?

Once you are ready to start on your first project, you will receive an email with all the set-up documents. If you have questions at that time, you can contact the Office Administrator at [email protected]

6) What invoicing program or template would you recommend for me to use?

If you do not currently have an invoicing/accounting system, you can download an excel template in which you can create your invoices. The download is available within your personal profile portal. We recommend that if you are just starting an invoicing system that you include your first and last initial before your numbering system sequence (i.e., 1001, 1002, 1003, etc..)
