1086 Project Management – Facility / Building

MetaOps Inc. is looking for professionals with Project Management experience; a contract-to-hire opportunity in Florida.

Our customer is a public safety organization located in Florida we have supported successfully for certain roles on a contact-to-hire basis.

Funding for a new $multi-million government facility has been approved and a high-level plan is bin place.  The person who has been handling the project management on a contracting basis is moving into a different role there, creating the need for a replacement.

The high-level work plan includes:

  • Onboard with the current project manager and work out a transition plan.
  • Develop and maintain the overall work breakdown structure for the overall effort expected to take about 18 months to complete construction and commissioning.
  • Project / Program Manage all the parties involved from the government agency, contractors, other third parties and vendors involved in the project.
  • Creation of project artifacts to include project schedule and project status reporting.

 Ideal candidate has:

  • Proven track record for planning, executing, controlling and closing projects and the ability to manage a project and its components simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Experience of managing a PMO office.
  • Experience of managing the complete lifecycle of a project with project teams of 5 to 25 people.
  • Experience of project management using different methodologies i.e., AGILE, waterfall methodology (or equivalent) for medium to large sized projects.
  • Strong skills in creating and maintaining project and program plans, including risks, actions, issues, dependencies
  • Highly efficient in resource planning and tasks assignment.
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills for reports and presentations.
  • Diplomatic ability to influence others at all levels of the business.
  • Experience of Program and project level financial management.
  • Experience of defining and delivering benefits realization for projects and program.
  • New commercial / government buildings construction and commissioning – 5+ years.
  • Technical management skills related to installing interoperable multi-agency computer / telecom / wireless networks 2+ years exposure.
  • Project Management – PMP or equivalent Certification very helpful.
  • Related undergrad or higher-level college degree.
  • At least 10+ of work experience.  Must have the gravitas to work well with people at all levels of seniority and with elected officials / outside entities.
