1085 Supplier Performance Engineer – GERMANY (TRAVEL)
MetaOps Inc. has customers with operations nation-wide and internationally that have periodic needs for interim or contract-to-hire talent for Engineering professionals. We are looking or Supplier Performance Engineer with strong background in operations, material planning, quality, and supplier development
Role Responsibilities:
The role of the supplier performance engineer is to lead, coach, and/or execute activities to sustainably improve their internal processes, skill levels, and planning for achievement of:
- Assurance of supply – sustainable with robust planning processes, proactive risk mitigation
- Operational excellence – on time shipping performance, as delivered quality performance
- Change management process – rigorous and planned
- Identify gaps in operational, quality, supply, and change management processes. Develop resolution plans and support implementation of necessary emergency containment, interim containment, and permanent corrective actions
- Work with supplier’s production team to ensure daily build and ship plans are met
- Ensure build plans align with demand, and ensure parts procurement plan align with build plan
- Maintain weekly production and quality metrics – ensure gaps are addressed properly
- Recurring activities will include tasks such as:
- Build and ship execution
- Review inventory position and material orders
- Review inbound quality data and process control data from the previous week
- Verify staffing level and skill set plan for following week
- Review results of process audit; ensure process audit actions are assigned, completed, and verified
- ADQ issue review, and ensuring rapid response to issues and implementing a robust, timely PCA
- Process and design change implementation planning
- Review Inventory plan and achievement
- Preventative maintenance plan for following month, review activities completed this month
- Supplier quality data review and verify responses are in place
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
- 4 – 7+ years of quality experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of: operations, material planning, quality, and supplier development
- Strong change management, communication and interpersonal skills
Logistics
- Location: onsite support – up to 75% (one in Loveland, CO, one Aken, Germany – German speaking)
- Duration: 6+ months – Start date: Sept 1, 2019
- Rate: $65 per hour, client might consider higher rate depending on experience level
